Study: Classical Music Helps Relax Dogs
Got an anxious dog? A new study suggests classical music may be a good
way to de-stress dogs, according to a recent article on CBS News.
The study in the Journal of Veterinary Behavior, led by Lori Kogan of Colorado State University found that classical music was more soothing than music specially designed to calm animals.
In the study, 117 dogs of various breeds were analyzed for various behaviors over a four-month period. The dogs’ behavior was recorded every five minutes as they were exposed to three different genres of music. Please click here to continue to the full article at Trupanion.com
