During regular office hours emergencies will be given immediate consideration. Please call our office if your pet is experiencing an emergency so we can be as prepared as possible for your arrival.
The doctors at Michigan Road Animal Hospital are well equipped and experienced at caring for your pet in an emergency.
What classifies as an emergency?
- Breathing difficulties
- Bleeding that won’t stop
- Trauma
- Hives & swelling (especially around the face/neck)
- Bloating (hard/distended abdomen)
- Difficult elimination
- Uncontrolled vomiting
- Poison/toxin ingestion
- Burns/shocks
- Prolonged seizures
- Sudden disorientation or unsteadiness
If your pet is experiencing any of these symptoms and it is not during our office hours, please contact the Airport Animal Emergency Center (west side) or Circle City Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital (NW side). Be assured that your pet will receive full attention and intensive care, if needed, by licensed veterinarians & staff.
