Intensive Care

Intensive Care
If it is necessary for your pet to be admitted to the hospital for treatment, we will provide everything needed for her comfort and care. We have leashes, bowls, and blankets here. The entire hospital is climate-controlled, for her and the other patients comfort.

We believe the best way to speed up the healing process is for a pet to spend time with her owner's. Ask your pet's veterinarian if visitation would be advisable during her stay. In some circumstances it is not ideal for your pet to have visitors-but in general we not only allow visitation, but encourage it for it's theraputic value.

Emergency Care
The doctors at Michigan Road Animal Hospital are well equipped and experienced at caring for your pet in an emergency. If your pet is experiencing an emergency, contact us immediately and bring your pet in. What classifies as an emergency?

Breathing difficulties
Bleeding that won't stop
Trauma
Hives & swelling (especially around the face/neck)
Bloating (hard/distended abdomen)
Difficult elimination
Uncontrolled vomiting
Poison/toxin ingestion

Burns/shocks

Prolonged seizures
Sudden disorientation or unsteadiness

If your pet is experiencing any of these symptoms and it is not during our office hours, please contact:
